About
About

Dear friends,

2020 was a difficult year for us all. Staying centered as a business owner, friend, neighbor, son, and adult, during the earthquakes, civil unrest, pandemic, and much needed social shifts in our community has not been easy. Not only do I want to remember the lessons and growth that have come from such a challenging time, but I imagine we all want to now use those lessons to step forward into ourselves and our community in more integrated ways.

The more I lean into the lessons of the last year and the cumulative lessons from life in business, community and personal growth, the more I realize that my value lies in my commitment to truth, transparency, and wholeness. I’m grateful as hell for the team members, teachers and humans around me who have helped me prepare for the difficult times in my own life, and who recognize that the way my journey has led me to a fuller version of myself, is worth sharing with you.

I have come to understand firsthand, that what is most valuable is our integrity and complexity to show up as our whole selves at work, home, and in community. To encourage others to do the same is the way of a thriving future.

What would it look like if you were your whole self more of the time?

What I know is that we are all incredible and we all have access to gifts that are worth sharing. We just need to know how to create containers of safety around our own needs so we can reflect wholeness in our own self care practices, in the ways we care fully for ourselves, and in the ways we can then also care for our people. When we realize our value lies in our differences, we can step into understanding and celebrating our uniquenesses as we prepare to be in community where we more fully live, create, and grow together.

My personal talent is helping you uncover your own gifts, your unique value, and to find ways to let those things shine.

Over 4 days in the wilderness of Maple Grove Hot Springs, join me and some of my teaching team. Together, we'll create space for rest and spend time on self re-discovery and embodiment.

Founder of cityhomeCOLLECTIVE

I am in love with my hometown of Salt Lake City, UT. I'm cis gendered, white, born middle class, the son of a barber who was the son of a cement truck driver. My mother, hard working and loving (just like her family of dairy farmers in Idaho), left home at 17 to enter the trades where she met my father at barbering school. They saved me for last in the line of 4 kids. I am gay, raised mormon, creative as hell, love design, people, marketing, poetry, mountains and architecture.

Maple Grove

Hot Springs & Retreat Center

Nestled in a remote canyon beside the Bear River, Maple Grove is a 45 acre off-grid property which includes 5 mineral hot spring pools, riverfront beach, hiking trails, canoes and paddle boards, River House patio and bathhouse, general store, and more. For thousands of years, the geothermal activity along the Bear River Valley has warmed, healed, and inspired humans, from native Shoshone tribes, to rural farming communities. These waters offer connection amidst sacred land serving distinct cultures as a natural basecamp anchored in healing, connection, and rejuvenation.
